{"id":850,"date":"2021-11-07T09:51:12","date_gmt":"2021-11-07T08:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/?p=850"},"modified":"2021-11-07T09:51:40","modified_gmt":"2021-11-07T08:51:40","slug":"walk-sunday-24-october-the-woolthorpe-by-belvoir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/?p=850","title":{"rendered":"The Sunday 24 October walk &#8211; Woolthorpe by Belvoir."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve been remiss in not covering Peterborough Ramblers Sunday walks in pictures and words, but I&#8217;m hoping now we can put this right &#8211; Tony<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 24 October 2021 walk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By Marja<\/p>\n<p>Stuart led a lovely 8 mile walk for 11 walkers from Woolthorpe, along part of the Grantham Canal and Denton reservoir (one of the two reservoirs that feed the Grantham Canal) before we had a lunch stop in Denton near St Mark\u2019s church, a grade 1 listed building with beautiful glass stained windows (and attractive displays for the Harvest Festival).<\/p>\n<p>After lunch we walked part of the Viking Way enjoying amazing views of Belvoir Castle before arriving back in Woolthorpe. We had beautiful sunny weather but 5 minutes after the walk, the heavens opened.
