rising indeed by 40% in the past 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Where you may ask, are all these people coming from?\u00a0 \u00a0Well, I asked the horse you can see in the picture but he refused to answer me.\u00a0 Indeed when I said, &#8220;well is the population growing?&#8221; he denied it.\u00a0 (Actually he said &#8220;nay&#8221; which I took as a denial.)<\/p>\n<p>The village is not far from Stamford of <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5006 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"467\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff3-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff3-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff3-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px\" \/>course, so that may explain everything including the local habit of actually growing vegetables on tables.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not quite sure how they do it, but am told that the secret of &#8220;tableveg&#8221; as it is called is buried deep in the history of the locality and is not to be revealed to outworlders (which I, coming from Corby, am most certainly &#8211; at least in their eyes).<\/p>\n<p>But again I digress!<\/p>\n<p>As I noted we gathered, and much pleasant <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5007 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff4-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"463\" height=\"347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff4-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff4-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff4-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff4-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff4-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 463px) 100vw, 463px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>chattering is there to be had before we &#8220;get on the road&#8221; as I believe the saying is, although in effect all we did at the start was cross the road, but I am sure you understand what I mean.\u00a0 But if you don&#8217;t I&#8217;m not going to explain myself.<\/p>\n<p>But to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/King%27s_Cliffe\">return to Wiki<\/a> there is a very interesting comment about the education in the area.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This new school is very large in size and is very advanced.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5009 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff5-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff5-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff5-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff5-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff5-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff5-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/>But then we were off, and if it is possible to describe an environment as a cacophony then this was certainly an example, for if it were to be a sound it would be every instrument and voice all being used at the same time in different keys, each competing with the other.<\/p>\n<p>And I really have to say that if there were a photographic competition on the theme of chaos I&#8217;d enter this picture.\u00a0 Of course it wouldn&#8217;t win.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5010 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff6-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff6-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff6-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff6-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff6-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/peterboroughramblers.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Cliff6-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/>But as we entered the rurality of the area (if I may invent the word for the occasion), things settled down a bit and to me at least made a little more sense.<\/p>\n<p>Curiously Wiki makes no mention of the visual impression made by the outskirts and I am tempted thus to create an award for &#8220;England&#8217;s most chaotic rural scene&#8221;
